PLACES TO VISIT
Tir nan Og Cottage is only three minutes to nearby attractions including the famous Stein Inn (oldest pub on Skye), delicious Lochbay
Restaurant, fabulous Skyeskins and inspirational Dandelion Crafts & Gallery.
... only 5-10 minutes along north from Eyrie Penthouse to Halistra Pottery for fine contemporary pottery, Shilisdair with its
beautifully hand dyed wool and wearables and on to medieval Trumpan Church with atmospheric views of North Uist, Benbencula
and the Isle of Harris.
...and don't miss the 1000 year old Dunvegan Castle (home of the Chief of the Clan MacLeod) and only 15 minutes away.
...tarry awhile at Fairy Bridge (before you come to the end of the Waternish Road at the Dunvegan Road) - this is where, according to the myth, that the 'Fairy Flag' (now in the castle)
was gently placed over the Clan MacLeod's heir apparent infant to
protect him and the clan from danger or at least until the Flag's magical powers disappear after the flag is used for the third and last time!
