who enjoyed a fortnight over Easter at
Eyrie Penthouse. (Parenthetical words are inserted for clarification)
"Glorious Isolation"
"A lot of thought has gone into the look and style of An Eyrie, which is a well presented and an enjoyable place to
stay whilst on the beautiful Isle of Skye... directions to the cottage are very good and it's easy to find. Parking
right next to the cottage.
The entrance lobby is compact and ideal for leaving one's shoes, boots and coats.
As I climbed the stairs to the living accommodation I said 'wow' to myself. A double bedroom is to the right
which has great views of Dunvegan Head and its loch (and the Little Minch)... a little seating area here too,
to pause and admire the view ...
A wide gallery leads to the compact bathroom which is well decorated... then onto the bijou kitchenette situated
next door.
The seating area is next to the kitchen as the gallery opens into a bigger space, with comfortable sofa...TV with
FreeSat and DVD player. Again, lovely views are to be had from the ample Velux window and the (dining) table is
ideally placed to admire these vistas ad infinitum... an excellent selection of books to read, DVDs to watch...
We were blessed with a fortnight of glorious weather which added to the magnificence of Skye...
I don't want to go home."
